Spiritual Life at MCS: A Journey of Faith and Growth
At our school, we believe that nurturing the Spiritual Life of our students is just as important as academic excellence. Our spiritual growth program is designed to inspire students at every stage of their educational journey. Join us as we cultivate a vibrant community of faith and service that honors our Savior.

Early Education: Foundations of Faith
In our Early Education division, we lay the groundwork for a lifelong journey with God. Through engaging chapel sessions and age-appropriate biblical stories, our little ones begin to explore their faith. We incorporate spiritual themes into our daily activities, fostering a sense of wonder and connection to God's creation.

Elementary: Growing in Grace
As students progress to Elementary, they delve deeper into their spiritual lives. We offer exciting chapels that inspire and uplift, along with meaningful service opportunities (I.e Operation Christmas Child) that encourages compassion and kindness. Our curriculum integrates biblical principles, ensuring that students see the relevance of their faith in everyday life. Together, we celebrate Spiritual Emphasis Week, focusing on God's love, gift of salvation and the joy of being a member of His family– Koinonia!

Junior High: Discovering Purpose
In Junior High, students are encouraged to explore their faith and discover their own spiritual identities. We provide a variety of retreats where students can connect with peers, reflect, and deepen their relationship with God. Our partnership with Maranatha Chapel enriches their spiritual development. Through engaging biblical immersion in course content, students learn to apply their faith in real-world situations.

High School: Faith in Action
High School students are equipped to take their faith into the world. Our bi-monthly small groups challenge them to grow in their spiritual journeys and embrace their roles as servant leaders. With service opportunities and retreats, students can put their faith into action. The continued collaboration with Maranatha Chapel enhances their spiritual growth, providing a strong community of support as they navigate life’s challenges, joys and successes.

What We Believe

STATEMENT OF FAITH

  • We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is fully God and fully man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins; He arose bodily from the dead and ascended to heaven, where, at the right hand of God the Father, He is now our High Priest and Advocate. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be conformed into His Image by the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe the Bible, God's Holy Word, is our foundation; it is authoritative as the rule of faith and is the standard for living.
  • We believe worship is spiritual, therefore: we remain flexible and yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit in order to direct our school.
  • We believe worship of God should be inspirational; therefore, music is an integral part of our spiritual development.
  • We believe worship of God should be intelligent; therefore, chapel services and education programs are designed with great emphasis on the teaching of God's Word.
  • We believe worship of God is fruitful; therefore, we look for His love in our lives as evidence that we have truly been worshiping Him.

MCS Bible Department Philosophy

"Now when they saw the BOLDNESS of Peter and John, and perceived that they were UNEDUCATED, COMMON MEN, they were astonished.  And they recognized that they had been with  JESUS."

- Acts 4:13 ESV -

  • We are college preparatory, redefined - Our goal is to prepare our student's hearts to own their Faith in God to prepare them as they move outside the MCS atmosphere and into the world.  To have a discerning heart in the matters of their Faith.
  • We aim for excellence, no matter the mess - Our excellence is defined in doing our very best by students growing, spiritually.  To nurture their faith, to walk with them in the spiritual growth journey and to give opportunities for our students to ENCOUNTER God.  We acknowledge the mess of our human lives, we aim to shepherd our students through those moments.
  • We want our students and families to LOVE Jesus.
