For students at Maranatha Christian Schools, the quest for excellence begins at the elementary level where students are taught to pursue academic achievement, creativity, and spiritual growth. MCS provides a comprehensive Christian education that helps to match the God given talents of students to extraordinary learning opportunities.
Education in elementary begins with an amazing group of passionate teachers who create loving and nurturing classrooms. Elementary academic subjects include math, science, language arts, social studies and Bible. All curriculums offered include California and National standards to ensure student achievement. Specialized instruction in Art, Spanish, Music, Library, Computer and PE give depth and diversity to students' education experience.
Beyond the classroom, students take part in many activities at MCS including two fieldtrips per year. Students also participate in Chapel activities each week, where God's Word and worship are at the center. Elementary students also have the opportunity to participate in ACSI activities such as the Spelling Bee, Speech Meet, and Math Olympics.
With a distinct Christian perspective woven into teaching methods, our goal is to challenge the ever inquisitive mind of a child. Teachers expertly guide students in becoming analytical thinkers and self-motivated learners, shaping their young minds future academic success.
