For students at Maranatha Christian Schools, the quest for excellence begins at the elementary level where students are taught to pursue academic achievement, creativity, and spiritual growth. Education in elementary begins with an amazing group of passionate teachers who create loving and nurturing classrooms. Elementary academic subjects include math, science, language arts, social studies and Bible. All curriculums offered include California and National standards to ensure student achievement. Specialized instruction in Art, Spanish, Music, Library, Computer and PE give depth and diversity to students' education experience.
Beyond the classroom, students take part in many activities at MCS including two fieldtrips per year. Students also participate in Chapel activities each week, where God's Word and worship are at the center. Elementary students also have the opportunity to participate in ACSI activities such as the Spelling Bee, Speech Meet, and Math Olympics.
